Wood Calming Stones
Calm your mind in any high stress situation. Each Calming Stone is hand carved by Dana Vollmer in the shape of a water drop. On the surface of one side there’s a groove that the thumb can rub which has a calming effect on the mind.
During Dana’s swimming career she tried many avenues to calm her nervous mind before a race. During the last 6 years of her career she kept a Calm Stone in her pocket that was hand carved by her good friend Mat. The stone was a reminder of what was important to her: the journey more than the outcome, the loved ones who supported her, and the joy she felt in the water. This stone embodied her love for the sport and now, doing woodworking herself, she wants to pass that love along. As Dana creates these unique works of art they will be put up on the site!
