A little more about myself, Milt and my husband Andy:
Dana Vollmer is the 2012 Olympic Champion and World Record Holder in the 100-meter butterfly. Dana will describe her successful approach to lifestyle and health, and explain her work with Milt Nelms, and her coach, Teri McKeever. Dana will demonstrate exercises for on land and in the water that are designed for any swimmer.
Milton Nelms is an internationally recognized expert and speaker on swimming. Milt is currently Head of the Research Advisory Board at the Swedish Center for Aquatic Research, based at Lund University in Lund, Sweden. Ian Thorpe, 4-time World Swimmer of the Year, said this about Milt: “I believe if swimming is to move forwards, the Milt Nelms… approach is the only way to go. It’s such a healthy way of swimming and training, and the only way that swimming is going to get significantly faster.
Andy Grant, Dana’s husband, is a Stanford University graduate, 3-time medalist for the United States at the Pan American Championships in 2007, and former American Record Holder. Andy brings insight into goal setting, transitioning from one level to the next, and keeping the sport fun.
